A Badger Synopsis for the second episode of Red Dwarf – Back to Earth.
Its 9 years later, after the final episode of season 8 where we see Rimmer kick Death in the nuts just before he is about to die. The others (Lister, Kryton and Cat) have survived by jumping through the mirror into the other dimension.
The portal is open and the gang return to Earth only to find out that they aren’t real. In my opinion? This episode is alot better than Part 1. 
This 9 year gap still doesnt make any sense! However, in this episode we do find out what might of happened to Kachanski. At first we find out that (in series 9, wtf?) Kachanski was sucked out of the air lock into the depths of space – insinuating that she is dead. BUT maybe not! As later on, on the bus, Lister finds out that Kryton may have been lying about Kachanski, and they she may very well be still alive!
We get back to the gang in the Storage Bay where the other hologram has just opened up the Dimension Hoping Portal thingy. As the portal thing finds a dimension is says that the current dimension does not exist, so it attempts to find the closest reality. In doing so we find the gang being sucked through the portal in a very funny scene where they a blasted out through TVs!! 
this was totally unexpected, haha, it gets better as Lister and Kryton comes flying through and trash the store; Rimmer get pushed through as his Hard Light Projection Unit and really does trash the store. The best one is Cat, he comes through all stylish, landing on the floor on his feet – typical for a cat – and then does a quick little dance 
So, where is the gang? Well there back on Earth of course! Thats right, after been blasted through TV screens, we find them inside of a TV Store in the 21st Century. Just to note:
Kryton is still a mechanoid, Rimmer is still a Hologram and Cat is, well… Cat
After a little funny scene between the gang and a Sales Assistant, we see them browsing through a shopping mall – getting very strange looks, haha. Eventually they reach a video store where Lister picklocks a cabinet and pulls out a DVD entitled none other than “Red Dwarf“!! Yes, thats right! They have just discovered that they are nothing but fictional characters in a TV show called Red Dwarf. Lister then takes a good look at the DVD, and notices a subtitle – Back to Earth – this is when it dawns on then that they are acting that show right now! Rimmer then reads the Synopsis on the back of the case and see’s that that show is apparently the last one since the crew apparently die. In finding this out, they set on a mission to a corner store called “They are among us“.
Before they set off, Lister goes to the toilet in a really funny scene.
At the store, Cat points out a load of merchandise with them on it. Lister then goes up to the desk and see’s some random guy, nodding his head as if he is listening to music – very wierd… Annyway, the ‘random guy’ then see’s Lister and doesnt at all looked shocked to see them, as if he expected them. Rimmer says they really are the crew, and the ‘random guy’ mentions something about a dimension slip that happens everytime around this year – getting wierder… The guy tells them that in order to find out how many series they have left they must speak to the boss, However! he cant tell then the address because of Space Core Directive 506 - which of course Rimmer messes up and Kryton corrects him.
Lister then finds a useful photograph and we enter a very funny scene with Rimmer and Kryton using a normal TV and Rimmer going “zoom in, enhance image, rotate 90*, zoom in to the left… etc” this lasts about 2-3mins, and is quite funny
Rimmer than finds an address to a place called Nose World – so off they go.
There is just one major downfall though. The gang has no mode of transport! so we have a fairly ok seen where the ‘random guy’ suggests things like “Time Hoping“, “Walking through images” and “Starbug 1“. The gang just repeatly say “On Red Dwarf!”, until they eventually come to the conclusion of catching a bus At the bus stop, Kryton is wearing a disguise – bit cliche, but funny none the less.
At Nose World we find a disturbing person who steals items from this “boss“, including one of Cats fur coats – which he steals back . The gang then find out the address of this so called boss. Yet, they have no mode of transport, and they most certainly dont want to catch another bus. This is where we find out about Starbug 1!! Thats right! Starbug 1. This is basically just a car designed to look like Starbug 1, but it looks hilarious 
.
They take Starbug 1, and drive off down the motorway. Eventually they end up in a place that may seem very familiar to some people – Corination Street! And this is where we leave the gang, really for tomorrows finale!

A Hunch
You may notice Cat doing something as well. Making those wierd looking model things. I have a hunch about them. What if this is all made up, like what that Reality Squid did to them. For example, that Leviathan only came to lay its eggs right? So, what if those things that Cat is making are its eggs! And they it turns out that Cat, Kryton, Lister and Rimmer where the ones who killed off the Human Race?
And, maybe that other hologram IS the leviathan?
just a hunch, lol!

Hilarious scene at the TV store and in the shopping mall!!
Starbug 1 was really funny.
We find out something about Kaschanski and that she may not really be dead, and that Kryton lied?!
Funny scenes in the “They are among us”

Krytons disguiseis a lil bit cliche…
Bit of a random guy in the Nose World and They are among us.
OVERALL
Getting so much more better!, an epic 8/10 for this episode, and 7/10 overall!
